A wireframe implementation of the method of moments in time domain is presented, with particular attention to wire junctions. Peculiar base and weight functions will be defined at the junctions to implicitly account for current continuity and correctly take into account inter-wire coupling. This will allow implementation of both an explicit and...

Electromagnetic modeling provides high accuracy but is often too time-consuming. Solving electromagnetic scattering and radiation problems with moment methods or finite element methods over a large frequency band requires the computer code to be run for every frequency sample. This is too expensive. So we propose a fast, accurate methodology...

This paper describes the development of an antenna synthesis procedure for determining the optimal location of 2D array configurations. An inverse scattering algorithm based on a conjugate gradient method is used. The influence of noise-corrupted data on the results is investigated

Solving electromagnetic scattering and radation problems, by finite element method or moment method, in spectral domain over a frequency band, is time consuming as it is necessary to run the computer model for every frequency band sample. Our aim is to determine the values of th current flow at the antenna surface over the frequency band using...

In this paper, we describe a method based on an integral formulation of the EM problem for finding the solution of an inverse scattering problem, which is the optimal location of 3D or 2D multiple metallic objects or multi-antenna systems from imposed constraints (e.g. radiation patterns). Different configurations are studied from synthetic data.

In this paper, we present the results of a method for optimizing multi-antenna systems from imposed constraints (e.g. ideal radiation patterns at a single frequency or over a wide frequency range). The method is based on a surface integral formulation of the forward EM problem and a gradient method for minimizing a cost functional. The...

A shape-gradient optimization based on contour deformations by means of Level Set method is used for reconstructing 2-D and 3-D perfectly conducting objects electromagnetic imaging. A frequency hopping technique is applied during the inverse scattering procedure for first locating the objects and reconstruct them roughly, then with higher...
