We present the results of the transfer of the frequency noise of one laser on an other laser over 18 nm using a fiber based heterodyne interferometer using a simple mixer to generate an error signal. The minimum noise level of the transfer is 0.2 Hz/Hz^0.5. We investigate the different contributions to the noise floor of the experiment.

We characterized the out-of-loop frequency noise of a Pound-Drever-Hall lock to a fiber-based delay-line interferometer and demonstrated a reduction of the floor of this out-of-loop locking noise below 10^(-1) Hz/√Hz on a Fourier frequency range extended to 8 kHz.
