A theoretical approach to the evaluation of the effectiveness factor in an entrapped yeast cell column

Description
A model has been proposed previously to describe the kinetics of ethanol fermentation in an entrapped cell column in the presence of sponge as cell support. That model has been improved to take into account product and substrate inhibition of the fermentation kinetics, as well as the simultaneous effects of CO2 bubble development and the presence of free cells in the broth.
