Comorbidity of affective disorders, alcohol use and gambling

Description

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is one of the most common anxiety disorders and it is frequently comorbid with several other psychiatric disorders, each of which may complicate the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome for the patient. Because of the widespread prevalence of mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders and their associated disabilities and social costs, an accurate understanding of their comorbidity is crucial to prevention and treatment.
