Lexik der Nähe- und Distanzsprache im DaF-Unterricht

Description

Informal or colloquial speech and formalized standard language differ from each other in grammatical terms but the most evident difference consists in the use of lexis. In the past oral and written language or familiar and formal language were quite easy to distinguish by analyzing lexical features of texts. Recently lots of lexemes for-merly considered non-standard move to standard language and written language not only in journalistic and press language but also in various other fields of communi-cation. The study will analyze this phenomenon with a couple of examples and refer it to the necessity of considering it more explicitly in didactic materials for German as a foreign language.
