La xiloteca di Ottone Penzig nell'Orto Botanico di Genova

The wood collection of the Botanic Garden of Genoa, assembled by Ottone Penzig, is examined a century after its establishment. Its didactic, museum and scientific units are put in order once again in this paper, after a long period of neglect as a result of which few specimens in the collection were preserved. Only 454 (267 species) of these specimens have been classified, and almost as many still need to be identified, as their original labels have been lost.
