Description
We propose here a method for maging near-surface structures although it can nevertheless be applied for deeper areas characterization. We perform the elastic full waveform inversion in the frequency domain in order to recover physical properties of the medium from both body waves and surfaces waves. We first present the forward problem and then the inverse one, mostly based on the (Pratt et al.,1998) formulation, here modified for multi-components and multi-parameters elastic full waveform inversion. After that, we illustrate the method with numerical examples and a real case where data have been acquired for a masonry detection. ...
