Commenting on an explanatory document published by the European Union about the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, this paper parallels NEB's three keywords (Sustainability, Inclusion, Beauty) with Vitruvius' notorious Triad (Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas). The parallel is used as a tool to criticise the shallowness of NEB's idea of Beauty.
