Preliminary study of competing cations on cadmium biosorption by Spirulina platensis
Contributors
Description
The present work was undertaken in order either to determine the removal of single heavy metals (namely, Cd2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cr3+, Ag+, Ba2+, Al3+) by use of re-hydrated dead biomass of Spirulina platensis, or to evaluate the effect of the presence of cadmium, as a competing cation, on the biosorption of the other metals.
