Chemistry is All Around Us

The Chemistry Is All Around Us project has the aim to contribute to the promotion of lifelong learning of scientific subjects and of chemistry in particular. The project intends to identify the main barriers to lifelong learning of scientific subjects and the strategies developed in the 6 project partner countries strategies to overcome them. The Chemistry Is All Around Us Portal provides access to: National Reports on the main barriers to lifelong learning of scientific subjects as well as the successful initiatives and strategies carried out nationally to foster lifelong learning of scientific subjects and of chemistry in particular. Specific case studies have been analyzed as an integration to each national report. On the basis of the analysis of the different national reports a Transnational Report was produced. Strategy for the promotion of Life Long Learning in scientific resulting from the best practices in the field available in the project partner countries. Reviews of publications and of initiatives available at national level in the six European countries involved, on the topics related to the planning and implementation of lifelong learning of scientific subjects. Six Training Packages organized in 6 subject areas: Chemistry in Every Day Life Chemistry at Home Materials for Special Uses Chemistry and Environment Chemistry and Art Chemistry in Science Fiction
