El Neolítico en la costa de Málaga (España): viejos y nuevos datos para su contextualización en el proceso de neolitización del sur de la Península Ibérica

Description

The coast of Málaga has shown an important concentration of prehistoric sites with Neolithic occupation. This paper aims to review their istoriography as well as briefly present the main lines of the interdisciplinary research carried at Cueva of Nerja and sites located at the southern part of Sierra de Mijas. Data is still preliminary but it shows the presence of a fully developed Neolithic which seems to be related to the arrival of Neolithic pioneers from the second half of the 8th millennium cal BP.
