In 1980s Ichimura, Austern and Vincent [Phys.Rev.C 32, 431 (1985)] proposed a quantum mechanical theory to study the problem of inclusive breakup cross sections in the nuclear reactions. Using the DWBA version of this model, applications to deuteron and 6 Li inclu- sive breakup reactions are presented and compared with some available data
