Esta identidad es la vida misma de los Calós, el amor a su tiempo y a su espacio, y su respeto a los antepasados y no suele expresarse explícita sino implícitamente y está conectada con lo que otros autores han definido como la construcción del sentido propio y el establecimiento de la presencia gitana en el mundo. Muestra cómo esta migración a Argentina creó un espacio abierto para la inclusión social y la modernización. Y se aborda tentativamente la reproducción familiar y económica como dimensiones clave del sistema histórico y antropológico Caló.

Abstract

The attempt of this text is to explore the cultural identity of the Gypsies of Buenos Aires from several key dimensions. This identity is the very life of the Calós, the love of their time and space, and their respect for their ancestors and is not usually expressed explicitly but implicitly and is connected to what other authors have defined as the construction of a sense of self and the establishment of the gypsy presence in the world. It shows how this migration to Argentina created an open space for social inclusion and modernization. And it tentatively addresses family and economic reproduction as key dimensions of the historical and anthropological Caló system.
