Porti turistici e territorio: un nodo da sciogliere a scala regionale

This paper focuses of the situation of marinas in Italy. After an initial section aimed at clarifying definitions and delitation of the concept of nautical tourism, it examines the situation of marinas in Italy, with enfasis of the regional differentiation. This paper confirms that the Italian context is characterised by a general shortage in terms of infrastructures, even compared to other European cases. The original contribution of the paper is the method for the calculation of catchment areas, which can provide a new approach for public policy regarding marinas.
