Improving wake-up receiver's sensitivity by using a novel architecture

Description

A new approach for a passive wake-up receiver is presented to improve its sensitivity. This architecture is based on a passive voltage multiplier circuit associated with a Schottky diode rectifier and using an on-off keying modulation for the input radio frequency signal. It is shown that, using this approach, a 10 dB better sensitivity is obtained for the wake-up receiver. Moreover, the immunity of the wake-up receiver to a false wake-up signal is improved
