Il genere come contesto: verso una psicologia di genere tout court?

Present paper introduces a new perspective of the gender as context. Within the psychological literature, gender has been treated primarily as an individual variable within the perspective of analyzes of differences. The present contribution aims to examine how the gender approach can favor the understanding of the specificity of some contexts. Given its ecological and systemic foundations, the community psychology is particularly appropriate to the analysis of gender as a context. Through this paper, we aimed to contribute to the debate about how gender perspective as context can shape the study and the intervention of the community. In the second part of the work we aim to analyze some of our research work considering the context gender approach. Gender as context could promote awareness of the specificity of contexts to better understanding and planning intervention in setting definition and changing.
