Description
A wideband antenna is developed for the mine detection application in the desert via on-board radar. The wideband matching is achieved with resistively loaded Vivaldi antenna. The final 128 elements antenna is split into 16 sub-arrays of 8 elements each driven by electronic switches for SAR imaging purpose. In a first step a sub-array has been made and measured. Then the influence of the overall mechanical structure supporting the antenna is studied in simulation.
