Les sépultures du mur sud du Monastère de Baouit (Moyenne Egypte)

Description

The missions of 2016 and 2017 in Baouit allowed to exhume 34 individuals. The anthropological study in 2017 has, for the moment, concerned 25 subjects, but will continue to analyze the health status of the population and the organization of the funeral space (position / orientation of the deceased) on this area . The assessment carried out could make it possible to envisage an extension of study of a population of religious type. In fact, it should be noted that this type of study is too rare and that we have too little information about the way of life, the rituals of communities, and the stigma left by the activities of these populations.
