Dual-mode Antenna Using Permittivity Gradient for S-band CubeSat Communications

Description
This paper presents a compact dual-band S-band antenna with an isoflux radiation pattern Cubesat applications.It consists of a probe-fed square microstrip patch antenna placed on top of a 3D printed ABS substrate. In order to obtain a dual-band behaviour, a permittivity gradient is achieved by controlling material porosity. A peak realized gain of 5.3dBi and 2.6dBi is simulated respectively at 2.02GHz and 2.17GHz.
