Contributors

Description

Experience of Teaching and Training in Substitutive Approaches to Animal Testing. Over a period of more than 20 years, Dr. Bassi Team at University of Genoa has promoted several activities in Academia on the Replacement of Animal Testing. For example, a 2-day training course, lectures within teaching programs, work experience opportunities for graduated or graduating students in Biology, Medicine and Surgery as well as PhD courses on human in-vitro model disease projects. It is evident that their efforts have been greatly enhanced by Centro3R activities in that it has increased the number of scientists who are aware of the effective alternatives to the classic in vivo approaches, thus preventing the needless suffering of animals.
