La crescente importanza delle biotecnologie ha stimolato anche lo sviluppo dei processi di recupero dei prodotti, con l'obiettivo di migliorarne l'efficienza di purificazione e diminuirne il costo finale. In questo capitolo sono descritte in forma sintetica le operazioni unitarie che di norma seguono le colture microbiche a questo fine.
The present communication summarizes the results of fermentative processes carried out in immobilized cell devices to assure a reduction of the polluting power of industrial effluents as well as a satisfactory recovery of their energy potential.
